Walking Holistically In Power 2009
"Bridge Over Troubled Waters"
New York City has suffered several tragedies, the most recent being the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, which brought us to our knees. It is in dire times like these where people rally most around their faith. It seems as though tragedy is the birthplace of faith, and unity. Will it take another 9/11 travesty for people to assemble in prayer? God forbid! The redeemed of the Lord must rise up and answer the call.
Fortified in His strength, and led by the Holy Spirit we present:
Walking Holistically In Power 2009
"Bridge Over Troubled Waters"
Each year New York City endorses events which raise the awareness of Cancer, HIV/AIDS, Homosexuality, and Drug Abuse. Though these mass forms of demonstration exist, statistics show that they don’t always result in a decrease in the loss of life within the city. Unlike secular traditions of parades, rallies and campaigns where raising funds is a primary focus, W.H.I.P. is an evangelical demonstration of empowerment. Our intent is to unify the people of God and raise the awareness of salvation through Jesus Christ. As we band together in prayer, breaking down all religious barriers, we make the declaration that there is ONE GOD and He reigns over New York City. W.H.I.P. will knit the hearts of God’s People together through our common goal of intercession, creating the power of agreement that is necessary to prosper and transform our communities.
On Saturday, August 1, 2009 we endeavor to unite hundreds of people from all over the New York Metropolitan area to sojourn the Brooklyn Bridge which signifies our passage over troubled waters. Crossing into the heart of New York City, we set a memorial of celebration reflective of the conversion of our mind, heart, body, soul and will. This spiritual experience will bring about holistic change.
Seize the opportunity to be a partner in this historical event of reformation. We encourage you to covenant with us and share the vision of W.H.I.P. with your congregation.
